Awareness in Breath
Lesson length - 34:46
In this practice we turn to the breath — not just as air moving in and out, but as a living rhythm that balances grounding and expansion.
Through mindful awareness of the lungs, Jess invites us to explore breath in its fullness: upper, middle, and lower. Gentle movements — side bends, rib tracing, and flowing through poses like Warrior II and Triangle — help open space for the breath to move freely, connecting muscle, fascia, and organ in harmony.
We close with box breathing (sama vritti), a steady, balanced pattern that regulates the nervous system and invites calm presence. By noticing the subtle turning points between inhale and exhale, fullness and emptiness, we soften into balance — feeling both anchored and uplifted.
This session reminds us that the breath is our most powerful teacher: a bridge between body and mind, grounding and lightness, stillness and flow.
