WE'AR on the Eco Runway in Canterbury

WE'AR is getting ready for our next fashion show hot off the heels of new zealand fashion festival 2012... this time for Eco Runway organized by the UC Sustainability Committee. Jyoti and Anya will be heading to Christchurch next week to showcase our fabulous winter collection...

Eco Runway is the first of three events to take part in Waste Watchers' Week - an initiative to launch the University of Canterbury waste education programme.  The Eco fashion show (organized by the wonderful Alicia Sudden) is also collaborating with the Design and Arts College, who, after losing their building to the Feb 2011 quake are more than happy to take part in this exciting event.

WE'AR will be one of the sustainable nz fashion brands hitting the runway, along with Starfish, Miranda Brown, Standard Issue and many more.  Not only will the Eco Runway show designer collections, there will also be a number of charity stores such as the Salvation Army showing - proving recycled fashion can be chic too!

Food and beverages will be provided by local organic and carbon zero companies such as Moveable Feasts and Greenman thoroughout the night (yum!) and everything down to the catwalk is sourced with sustainability in mind.

It sounds like Eco Runway will be the perfect event to show our beautiful clothes, with a focus on our dedication to sustainability and conscious fashionabiltiy! watch this space for pics and updates of the event... we'ar will keep you posted on facebook and twitter with all the news...
