Behind SS26/27 The Ripple Print

A closer look at the creative process behind The Form of Light, and the making of our Sand Ripple print.

Inspired by the fleeting marks left where the ocean meets the shore, Sand Ripple explores the relationship between two natural elements. One mark represents the sea, the other the sand. Together, they form a ripple, a quiet expression of our interconnectedness with nature and one another.

The Form of Light - Sand Ripple creative process

Created in collaboration with textile designer Josephine Lorelle, the artwork began as a hand-painted composition in her Auckland studio, before being translated into a repeat pattern.

From there, each colour is separated into individual screens, carefully prepared by our team in Bali and hand-printed in layers onto linen. A considered process of artistry, craftsmanship and connection, bringing the natural world into something we can wear.
